Match Report Press Report

Weald III Lost to David Lloyd I.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 20 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Oliver Dewdney winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 125 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Peter Hay.

If the Home No. 2 player, Gary Sheail, had not had to withdraw after 3 game(s) the result could have been closer.
